Shannon Airport US Preclearance facility – this new facility allows passengers to pre-clear all formalities before departing, making their arrival in the US easier and faster. This new facility now encompasses US Immigration, Customs and Agriculture.

The Region has a strong industrial core around the Limerick/Shannon Gateway which includes the regional capital of Limerick City, Shannon International Airport, Shannon Estuary, Third Level Institutions and a number of Industrial Parks such as the Shannon Free Zone and Plassey Technology Park, Ireland’s first National Technology Park .
