LCGA: Tom Fitzgerald - The Ministry of Dust Drawings, Sculpture and Installations
Jack Donovan
Retrospective Paintings 1959-2004
September 11th - October 23rd 2004
Opening September 10th, 7pm
Jack Donovan celebrates his seventieth year with a large retrospective and publication of a catalogue of his work. Jack, over the decades has created a truly unique body of work. He continues to paint today, never fully satisfied with his previous production always willing to take risks and experiment. Jack has been highly influential, as a unique artist in the context of contemporary art in Ireland, as a former long term Head of Limerick School of Art and Design and as a great friend and supporter to the many students and artists he encountered along the way. This exhibition is an opportunity to enjoy the curious, sometimes irreverent, often humorous and always uniquely painterly vision of Jack Donovan.
The exhibition is accompanied by LCGA gallery publications published in association with Gandon Editions.
