Cuisle Poetry Slam 2009 At The White House, Limerick.

This years Cuisle International Poetry Festival 'Poetry Slam', to take place at the White House, Limerick on the Saturday 17th October, has announce an increased prize fund. 
As well as a special trophy for the overall winner the top prize this year rises to 300.00 Euro for first with 100.00 Euro for second and third places. 
It is advisable that those who wish to enter the Slam let the organisers know in advance that they wish to take part as places will be limited - there is no entry requirement and all styles are allowed but as usual slam rules and protocol ( content, performance, audience reaction ) will apply, those who can commit to memory their poems will, no doubt, be in with the better chance of being crowned this year's champion. 
Previous winners of this popular slam include Galway's Michael Kearney, John Carmody and current champion Ciaran O'Driscoll.
